The capacity of the country's thermal power plants has reached 68,933 MW by the end of last year.

A look at the performance of the thermal power industry in 1399 shows that the capacity of thermal power plants has increased by 1,759 MW during the last year, and in March of last year, with the launch of the Caspian power plant steam unit, the nominal capacity of Iranian thermal power plants reached 68,933 MW.

So far, 583 units which generate power have been built in 129 power plants in the country and with the opening of the Caspian power plant project, the number of thermal units owned by the private sector and large industries has reached 380 units and the capacity of privately owned thermal power plants has reached 46,425 MW.

At present, the capacity of the country's power plants, including thermal, hydropower, renewable, diesel, small-scale and nuclear power plants has reached 85,115 MW, of which 81% is related to thermal power plants.

At present, combined cycle units with a capacity of 30,643 MW (36%), gas units with a capacity of 22,257 MW (26.1%) and heating power plants with a capacity of 15,829 MW (18.6%) constitute the country's thermal power plants. they give.
