The second meeting of beneficiaries involved in the construction of the Shahid Rajaee Combined Cycle Power Plant held

The second meeting of beneficiaries involved in the construction of the Shahid Rajaee class J CCPP was held with the presence of representatives from TPPH, Ministry of Power subsidiaries and affiliates companies, the plan advisor, regional and provincial authorities and local trustees.

According to Public Relations Office of Shahid Rajaee Power Generation Management Company, the advisor of construction of CCPP with high efficiency said: “regarding the need of the country’s power grid to development of power industry to reduce current shortages in this industry, we are going to use experts and investors to access the construction PPs with high efficiency.”

Mr. Tahani, the environmental advisor of the plan and Managing Director of Tara Niroo Sepahan added: “undoubtedly, execution of construction of Shahid Rajaee CCPP, will create the increase of scientific growth in this province and the country which will lead to economic and social growth.”

He mentioned: “in implementation of different industrial plans, especially power industry, there are always different social, economic, environmental concerns which fortunately, after exact and scientific reviews, we could reach to the belief which implementation of Class J power plants with high efficiency, has less environmental pollutants, as the Japanese advisors and Iranian experts have defined by comprising the environmental parameters of the current PP with simulation of new Class J PP, the new J Class PP has less pollutants than defined standards.” 

Referring to consumption water parameters, Tahani said: “water is always one of the topics which has drawn the Officials and people mind to itself, therefore for protecting the country water sources and confronting with the problems resulted by  dehydration and drought in the country, we want to establish a PP with high efficiency and with capability of less water consumption. The current power plants use about 0.11 liters of water per kilowatt hour, while water consumption of new J Class PP, regarding the environmental concerns and based on designed figures, is much less than current PPs.”
