In order to be prepared for the peak of the year 1398, gas units of Maku's power plant were synchronized

The gas units of the Maku combined cycle power plant with a capacity of 78 megawatts were synchronized with the national network.

According to TPPH Public Relations and International Affairs Office, Mehrdad Amirzade, Deputy Director of Planning and Commercial Plans of Private Power Plants and Project Manager at Maku Power Plant announced: “The gas units of the Maku combined cycle power plant including two gas units totally with a capacity of 78 Mw were synchronized with the national network.”

He added: “the power plant is CC and included two gas units and one steam unit, totally with the capacity of 120Mw which has been operational by Urmia Gol Bargh Company investment and chines AVIC Company in an area of 43.5 hectares in Maku free zone in Yowla Galdi village in West Azerbaijan Province.”

He mentioned: “The natural gas required by the power plant is prepared through the export pipeline to Turkey and the backup fuel for units is gasoline.”

He continued: “the contractor of setup and installation of units is up to AVIC and GXED, Chines Companies and contractor of Power Plant of Azerbaijan Electricity Repair Company and TPPH advisor in this project is Matin Energy Development Company.”

He explained about the turbines and said: “the installed turbines in this power plant are MD400 type from China.”

It is mentionable the activities and following the affairs for entering the steam unit to the national grid is continued.
