As The summer solstice occurs:The Second Unit of Private-owned Behbahan Power Station Joined Iran’s National Electricity Network

The second unit of Behbahan combined cycle power station with 166 megawatt capacity joined Iran’s national electricity network.

According to TPPT’s public relations’ international affairs, with the efforts of local engineers, the second unit of Behbahan combined cycle jointed the national electricity network briefly after the synchronization of the first unit.

According to plans, the gas unit with 160 megawatt of the combined cycle power station will join the national electricity network by July 2017 and thus, the whole capacity of Behbahan combined cycle power station will be increased to 492 megawatts.

This power station is under construction on the 20th Kilometres of Ramhormoz-Behbahan Road, Khuzestan province, by GEIC and MAPNA in the form of BOO plans with estimated credit of more than 290,000,000 €.

Power station’s efficiency is 49.5%. The fuels are first of all gas and the second diesel fuel. The power station’s post has 400 kilowatt capacity: An storage with 33,000 meter per square is constructed within the power station.
